Day 1
Welcome to Medellin, the City Of Eternal Spring!
The Group Travel Colombia staff will be waiting for you at the Jose Maria Cordova International Airport, as soon as you pass through immigration offices we will be there to help you with your luggage and to direct you to your transportation which will then take you to your hotel.
Depending on the time of your arrival we will have a meal ready for you, about 45 minutes after you check-in. After you finish your food we will give you a brief introduction to teach you about the city, important tips, where to go, and more. We will be available to you 24/7.
Day 2
Get Ready for Adventure!
After having breakfast, you will departure to Guatapé. Arrive at the Piedra del Peñól where you will Climb right to the top.
El Peñól de Guatapé stands 650ft above the town and is sometimes referred to as “the stitched rock” because of the arrangement of stairs built into a crack in the rock.
Once you arrive on top you will be greeted by one of the most amazing views in the world! Have your camera ready to take some pictures for this moment as you will definitively cherise the stills afterwards.
Lunch & Cruise
You will board a bus that will take you and your group to have Lunch on a Magnificent Yacht Restaurant!
Once aboard the Yacht, you will have Lunch and Cruise through one of the most amazing locations in the world, Guatape Lake System! The natural landscape, is one of the most spectacular you will find in Antioquia, department which Medellin is capital City.
After lunch, take a stroll down the colorful streets of Guatapé town. Once the tour is over, we will take you back to Medellin. Arrive at your accommodation, freshen up and get ready to eat dinner. You can choose to your liking or request suggestions from our crew.
Day 3
Colombian Coffee Tour
After breakfast, we will take you straight to the Coffee Farm! A bus will pick you up right outside the hotel. Once at the Colombian Coffee Farm it is time for Hiking. Here you will walk the span of the coffee fields, an informative hike that will teach you the ins and outs of the Colombian coffee industry, learn how local farmers grow coffee from seed to hot coffee.
Toast your own Coffee
You will also be able to taste delicious Colombian coffee and enjoy picking coffee beans yourself. At lunchtime, enjoy a Colombian style meal and relax in a real Colombian Coffee farm.
After lunch we will continue the tour, you will learn how to roast coffee yourself and have a good taste of it. By the end of the afternoon, Return to the Hotel so you can have some relaxing time before dinner.
Day 4
Paragliding Through Medellin
In the morning we will have your breakfast ready early, and shortly after we will departure to San Felix located at Bello, Antioquia, about 30 minutes from Medellin. The Paragliding activity includes basic and safety training, insurance, and you will jump along with a paragliding professional. For more information about paragliding, you can visit the wiki page. Each guest will have 20 minutes of flying across Antioquia’s most beautiful mountains overlooking the city of Medellin. Besides San Felix, you will also visit other Paragliding locations.
We will have your Lunch ready so you can have a brief stop before continuing with the activity. By the end of the afternoon, we will take you back to your accommodation. After arrival, you can freshen up and have dinner.
Day 5
Free day
During your free day, you will have extra flexibility to decide what to do. Breakfast will be ready for you, and after having it, we will give you ideas of different activities to do in Medellin while in the hotel or nearby. At noon, you can board a bus to attend to one of the nicest Colombian restaurants for lunch.
After Lunch, the buses will be available for those who want to tour through different locations of Medellin city. If instead, you prefer to have some rest and swim at the hotel’s pool, we leave the choice to you.
After dinner, we suggest you get to bed early, to rest well in preparation for the next day. We will take you to visit the Caves!
Day 6
Get Ready for Adventure!
After breakfast, the next destination is Rio Claro. Departure will be as early as possible, in order to get the most out of the day.
Arrival to Rio Claro should be about 10:00 am, along the route and once in place, you will experience the beauty Colombia’s wilderness has to offer. Among the activities you will have available to do is Ziplining, Rafting, and Excursion through the caves, to name a few. The lunch will be available to those who want to have an early meal, and if your activity takes longer, lunch can be served later or as requested.
At the end of the afternoon, we will take you back to Medellin for a well-deserved rest. It is your choice, whether you want to rest after dinner or go out for a drink.
Day 7
Relaxing day
After a day of action in Rio Claro, we highly recommended having a relaxing day, as so, the activity of the day will be decided early this day with you and your group so we can coordinate activities accordingly.
As a suggestion, the breakfast will ideally include fruits, veggies, and green juices unless you desire something else of course.
You will also have access to a massage therapist, to bring down tension from your sore muscles and take off any stress.
After nightfall, have dinner at the eccentric rotatory restaurant, where you can have a 360-degree view of the city’s light by night, a sight that you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
Day 8
To Be Decided
On day eight, breakfast and dinner will be available at the hotel. In the case of lunch and the day’s activity, you can choose it with your group, and our crew’s help.
Day 9
Return Home
